Who is it addressed to?
The artistic residency program is aimed at Colombians and foreigners who want to develop a creative project in Mompox in any discipline (writers, visual artists, designers, musicians, anthropologists, cooks, filmmakers, producers, etc.).
Our House
El Boga is housed in a fully renovated colonial space in the historic center of Mompox. It features multiple spaces (living room, patio, pool, kitchen) designed to foster the creativity of our residents. We encourage interaction among resident artists and promote workshops and gatherings with local artisans and representatives of the arts and crafts of Mompox.
Selection
Those interested should submit their proposal by completing the online form (click here). Proposals are evaluated by a jury assessing the quality and originality of the artistic proposal and the relevance of the community project and its methodology. See selection criteria. We suggest you review the profiles of past residents and the activities they have developed within the community. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your proposal before submitting your application.
Duration
The recommended duration of the residencies is one month. The minimum stay is of 2 weeks. Candidates are asked to indicate the dates that would be convenient for them to participate.
FEE
COP 3,100,000 per month for nationals.
EUR 1.100 for foreigners
Includes:
Support from the host resident in the development of the resident's agenda
Accommodation in a private room with bathroom
Use of all common areas of the house, library, swimming pool, patio, kitchen, exhibition hall
Grant and Sponsorships
The Boga offers 2 scholarships per year (for Colombians)
Projects submitted with public or private sponsorships are welcome (art galleries, national or regional incentives, private entities, benefactors)
