ARTISTIC RESIDENCIES
Artist residencies are our flagship program. Throughout the year, we accept applications from artists and researchers who wish to spend a period of time (we recommend at least two weeks) in Mompox developing a project. We encourage residents to participate in cultural activities (workshops, discussions, lectures) with the Mompox community. A jury evaluates applications as they are received.

Casa Taller El Boga offers two annual fellowships for Colombian artists interested in undertaking a one-month creative residency at its facilities in the heart of Mompox. The program is designed to foster a space for research, artistic production, and exchange, where creative processes engage in an active dialogue with the territory and the local community.
The residencies encourage projects that integrate local knowledge, community dynamics, and critical reflections on the municipality’s cultural, historical, and amphibious context. In this way, El Boga has become a fertile space for exchange among artists, residents, and visitors, strengthening cultural tourism and supporting place-based creative practices.
BOGA GRANTS

Throughout our history as an artist residency, we have consolidated various artistic and cultural projects that strengthen and enrich our connection with the region. These initiatives have emerged from the dialogue between the creative processes of the resident artists, the Mompox community, and the historical, social, and multifaceted context of Mompox. Explore here a selection of projects developed by our residents, showcasing the diverse perspectives, practices, and experiences that have inhabited the El Boga Studio House.
