LILLI GARCIA GOMEZ

Lilli García Gómez is a Colombian artist, choreographer, and performer based in France. Her practice crosses choreography, performance, installation, writing, and video to investigate the relationships between space, memory, and narrative, and the porous zones between fiction and reality. Trained initially as an architect, she holds a master's degree from the Museo Reina Sofía and a diploma from Université Paris 8.

She is currently developing La Sombra, the second part of the FAMILIA trilogy. Starting from a childhood memory of an old ferry on the Magdalena River, the work uses the codes of the mockumentary to explore how a fiction can become a form of truth.

Her work has been presented at the Festival d'Automne à Paris, the Palais de Tokyo, and Nuit Blanche. She co-founded the collective W.O.R.K.? in 2014 and is an associate artist at Le 6b (Saint-Denis).
